Personal Trainer

I have been involved in fitness pretty much my entire life. From gymnastics, cheerleading, soccer and track while in school to 5ks, marathons and figure competing as an adult.  I live for it; that rush of challenging yourself once again. So, yes, I am loving Crossfit.  Although I am pushing 40, I feel like I am in my 20′s when I am training.

I have been training since 1998, graduated with Associate in Physical Therapy in 1991, and received my Bachelor Degree in management soon after.

I married my husband, Rick in 1993 and our son Justin was born in 1998. Our daughter Emma was born in 2003.She can be seen in some of the blog pics. I am so proud of the legacy I have left for my kids, when I see them here or at home making up their own pods and doing it.  I know I have instilled fitness in their lives, which means the world to me.

So that covers the basic information in most bios. Now for some things most don’t know.

People often misjudge that all this comes easy to me. Let me say this, first, nothing worthwhile is easy. Sure we all have gifts we have been given, but then that means we must work even harder.  I also choose not to quit. I have had surgery on both knees, hernia repair, c-section and natural childbirth. I always have injuries or the annoying aches and swelling from arthritis, but I will always do what I can. I hear people say, “I can’t do” whatever….to them I say, can’t or not willing to try? Everyone can do some form of every exercise. I admit, I aim not to have the big “M” for modified for my POD workouts, but honestly, even when pistols are in the workout and I know my right knee won’t do that, I am just proud that I got through the workout, modified or not, I did it.  That’s what is important, make a choice to live fit and live strong, then all you gotta do is do it!
