CrossFit Level 1
I have been working out at the Practice since May 2010, but have been a CrossFitter since August 09- from a day after turning the dreaded ‘3-0h’.
I have always considered myself an ‘athlete’- (I played soccer and basketball at the high-school and collegiate level, and have played just about every sport from ping-pong to rugby on a more recreational level), but then the injuries took over and I stopped all high-impact sports and resigned myself to a life of constantly aching knees and working out in the dreaded ‘globo-gym’ doing bicep curls and leg extensions!
And then I found CrossFit, and today I can honestly say that I am in better shape than ever before. And more importantly- PAINFREE! (whoever said heavy back-squats were bad for the knees had no clue what they were talking about).
As a CrossFit certified trainer, I want to help others make the leap from merely being ‘well’ to truly being ‘fit’. And to motivate the ‘fit’ to continuously push the limits of their comfort zone to previously unimaginable limits- For most people (myself included), the mind will quit way before the body truly reaches its limit, and as the mind grows stronger, the results show not just in your CrossFit workouts, but in your everyday life as well!
