Personal Coach / CrossFit Multi-Certified
Every time I read one of those tell-me-about-yourself-bios written in, like, third person from some advertising company I feel like I die a little inside. Who knows me better than me, and can describe what I’m all about?
I’ll save you all of the in’s and outs of my view on life because I’m sure you don’t have the time nor the stomach for such vivid social commentary. Instead, I will simply tell you that everyday I do what I love…train individuals to be better at human performance. It would be foolish to say that perceived physical performance is only physical. Since fitness is 80% mental, I believe I make people better at the way they think about and approach life. This attitude makes me take my chosen profession very seriously, and if you don’t take that seriously then you probably better work with someone else.
I have a variety of certifications…and if you believe that makes me a good trainer then, again, were likely not a good fit. I hold several CrossFit certifications and am a Parillo-certified eating and fitness coach. I value what I’ve gained from both of these organizations very much. I also hold a variety of other certifications I don’t even care to post because they’re worthless. Some of these are from well-recognized health and fitness organizations to whom I would ask, “Who certifies the certifiers?” These organizations actually require me to pay an annual renewal fee to hold onto my credentials…and they’ll take them away just as quickly as they presented them if I don’t. So let’s see here… money=credentials and lack o’ money=unqualified? Wrong.
I do what I do because I’m selfish. I truly enjoy helping others achieve their goals. Watching someone make their impossible possible makes me unbelievably proud, and gives me a real sense of self-worth unriveled in, virtually, every other avenue of life. I’m a good trainer because I’m gonna bust my ass for you if you commit to bust yours for me. I couldn’t care less if your good at it, or have any real athletic skill at all. All I require is a good attitude. I can teach you everything else.
