Earnest Hemingway stopped writing mid-sentence.

One of the most prolific authors known to man stopped short, so he didn’t burnout. He wanted to sit down again tomorrow, and the day after that, and pick up where he left off, mid-idea, mid-freaking motivation. Every night before he went to bed, he yearned for tomorrow’s work in a way that made writing pure pleasure.

Whenever I see a rookie CrossFitter that can’t stay away, who thinks more is better, heavier is smarter, and RX or die, I think of Hemingway. A man who loved to write, holding back a modicum of motivation for tomorrow.
