Last Saturday, our own Theresa Weeks spent time with our younger athletes post-wod, teaching them how to make ice cream in a bag! Not only was it easy enough for a 4 year old to do, but all the ingredients were healthy and sugar free! Better yet, it took less than 10 minutes to complete this activity.
Kids were pleasantly surprised at how good their homemade ice cream tasted! Make your own ice cream at home using the following recipe. Thanks, T!
Ice Cream in a Bag
Ingredients and Supplies:
(2) 1 gallon ziploc bags
Ice cream salt
1 1/2 tsp. Truvia
1/2 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
1/4 tsp. pure vanilla extract
In Bag #1: Fill bag 1/3 fullÂ with ice, and 6 Tbsp of ice cream salt
In Bag #2: Combine truvia, unsweetened vanilla almond milk, and pure vanilla extract
Seal bag #2 and place it inside bag #1. Shake for 5 minutes.
Remove bag #2 and enjoy!
