Angela’s new hand – Take six

This is the sixth clip we’ve done for “Angela’s New Hand,” and it’s deceiving. It leads you to believe this process is all sparkles and cup cakes and instant gratification. It’s not.

Lots of athletes wouldn’t have even started this process. A lot more would have quit after the first peak that led to a valley. But the one’s like Angela, who just don’t seem to take no for an answer, will be rewarded.

Maybe pull-ups and snatches are your goal. Maybe it’s sprinting in the Olympics. Sometimes you just gotta know that you’re not alone, and that all you have to do is keep going.

    Class with 10 is interesting. Class running a little too long? Don’t worry, we’ll alternate strength and auxillary to make sure you get it all in. Not that we all couldn’t use it.

    10 is so matter of fact about getting it all done, you just go along with. It was dreadful and fun. I liked warming up the squats with all the other warmup stuff.

    Lesson learned this morning- 10 can take an hour and thirty minutes worth of work and compress it into an hour. That takes talent.

    I’m very proud and thankful of my new hand. Michelle and Ralph have worked very hard on the design. I’m ashamed to say I haven’t been practicing like I should be. I will remedy that soon. Thanks to all my friends who have my back and constantly encourage me through a word or text. Those words spoken sometimes offhandedly, really are what keep me going day after day.
