Mikko Salo is the 2009 CrossFit Games champion. When he talks rowing, we listen.
Rowing has a special brand of suck all to it’s own. It teaches intensity because you never see it coming. One minute, you’re rowing like a Viking, the next you’re barely pulling, praying that the monitor magically malfunctions and ends the torture.
Rowers and skiErgs are great tools but what I like more is Mikko and his philosophy. He sat out an entire season due to knee repair. Since rowing was the only thing he could do, he did it… a lot.
Spend a little extra time on the rower and be thankful that it’s not the only thing you can do.
15-Front Squat 65/95
AMRAP 16 Minutes
