CrossFit is building schools in Kenya
On Saturday February 16th, you can give water to the thirsty. Build a school. Change a life.
Some of us made lenten resolutions Wednesday. Plans to give something up, or take on something positive and new for the next forty days. This is both. By giving up a luxury, we can add a necessity to someone else.
As a whole, CrossFit is asking for a drop in the bucket when it comes to Kenya. It costs $14,000 to build a school, $3,500 for a drinkable water supply. It takes little to do a lot.
Practice CrossFit will host the “Hope for Kenya” workout this Saturday at 9 a.m. Bring your friends and family members as we plan to switch it up a bit and make it a partner WOD. As always, all are invited, welcome, and encouraged but not obligated. We want you to want to do it.
The best part is, it doesn’t stop there. We can actively give to those in Kenya all year long. And we will.
Click here to make your online donation or just bring it with you the day of the event.

I hope someone brings me depends!
Wow!! That’s all I can say after watching the 5am group do 45 minutes on the bar at the required weight! It comes down to forcing yourself to suffer! Adaptation to long suffering!!! Great job guys! This will pay off!!! Hope to see you tonight and tomorrow morning for more fun.
Whew!!!! That was a good combination of mental AND physical strength!! Thanks for the push, Carrie!! And way to set the bar high, Mitchell!!!

Is there a 5:30 class on Fridays?
No but people will be there from 5:00 on, if not before. I plan on doing this workout around 5:00 if you wanna join, Luke.
I’ll try to make it there by 4:45 or so, but I’m not sure I can take off from work early enough. It doesn’t sound fun but it just seems like something I have to try…

I’d say this was so much better with the crew that we had goin all at once, but I don’t think I saw anything but the bar and the wall in front of me… what a mental test!
