Nicks a two year man putting in the time to become a better athlete. Along the way, I think he’s even becoming a better person. Funny how that works.
Even for a lifetime athlete like Nick, he has played rugby for years, CrossFit was immediately challenging. And immediately addictive.
Since that first experience he has been finding ways to keep getting better, and it shows up on and off the workout floor.

Yea yea Nick!!! and that’s a badass tune playing, love that shit
that is awesome Nick, Congratulations!!! you are my motivation at 6 AM WOD!!
10+12 RX
Isn’t 10+12 really 11? Sorry to have missed this one!!!
15+1 rx…. Those hspu felt so much harder than they did on Monday!
genuine dude you are, nick. even when you’re draggin’ ass, you’ve got a sense of humor one can appreciate.
what this vid doesn’t capture is nick’s heart. he never hesitates to make corner time nick athletes (including myself) to ‘just as a quick question about’ their sore shoulders, their numb fingers, or their jacked up backs and ankles. he always makes time, and does so w compassion.
sadly, most of my nick-time has been spent as one of his patients over the last 2yrs. in short, the dude’s a blessing to his profession w a bedside manner second to none. i’m a fear-crippled wuss for pain, and if i had to have a limb amputated nick manfred is one of only two people i’m confident could get me through it.
so glad you (and soon Katie!) are a part of PCF and Xcel Sports Medicine.
“…to make corner time FOR athletes (including myself) to ANSWER…”
It has been an honor to not just WOD with Nick but to also get to know him as a friend. A genuine good dude who not only makes you better on the WOD floor but in life. We are lucky to have you at PCF brother.

Did the extended training right after & got all 50 weighted 20#pu & 100 du with 12# vest. Now my arms are screaming at me!
I’m so excited that I am down 3.6% body fat since the challenge! It’s been a fun Challenge having my partner(s) keeping tabs on me.
Nick it’s been an honor to get to know you & Wod with you this year! You are an amazing athlete & therapist;)
