Back at the ranch is back!

Round two of “Back at the ranch” is ready. More creative and challenging, yet incredibly fun events are in store for competitors. Last year you made it great, this year it will be even better. Don’t miss it!

BATR had a rather soft opening five or so weeks ago. That rather soft opening turned into a sign-up free for all. Currently, we are working with our sponsors to get more stuff so that more people can play. As I write this we are not sold out, but at least as far as teams go, we are very close. Don’t wait, register here.

And before you fret, ask, or procrastinate, let me put your fears to rest once and for all; YOU WILL BE ABLE TO PLAY.

Super athletes will find the challenge they love and need. Scaled athletes will be able to play with various customizations. Newbies can taste competition, and come back for more. And don’t forget, regardless of how much fun it will be, or how challenged you find yourself: IT’S FOR CHARITY. What are you waiting for? Sign up here.

Email jbunch@gopracitce.biz if you wish to sponsor this charitable event in honor of Mammograms in Action/Barbells for Boobs. Last year we were able to raise nearly $16,000. This year, with your help, we are sure to to beat that.

For those of you brave soldiers who braved 5am, I applaud you loudly.

Carrie – you may have modified but I’m bettin’ the wko was still a PR. Your pushups looked stellar to the end.

Michelle…great job making adjustments as required to maintain perfect push-up form. And, wow, those squats were rockin even after so many heavies last night!

Ryan…welcome, welcome! We’re gonna have you butterflyin’ your pull-ups in no time. P90x has given you a great foundation. This was a tough, tough WOD for your first week, and you really committed to some great work.

    Highlights of the morning?
1 – Kim did her first sports bra WOD! Way to stay focused on how to get the work done no matter what.

2 – Joel made another appearance…and shot me a “5a smile” I won’t soon forget. LOL! No other trainer could appreciate that smile as much! Promise.

Please please please find a way to mobilize those shoulders and elbows and open up that chest and thoracic, at least, one more time today!

  8. Joel says:

Thanks to “Hank” for the motivation.
Big props to Kim- it was inspiring to see your determination.

Nice job morning crews- proud to see 5, 6, and 9am classes all push through a full 30 minutes. Today is just as much about mental toughness as it is physical.

Heard a lot of athletes coming in saying how nervous they were for this wod. Don’t think about how many minutes it is, or the overall workload… just prepare to focus in minute by minute and get ready to work. 30 minutes will pass by whether you use them or not…. so lets use em :)

Ginghamsburg athletes- I’ve sooo enjoyed training you guys this week! You’re such a fun group and I love your energy. If Chas ever has another conflict I’m happy to step in :)

  12. Lori :} says:

    28(m) rounds…
    Started w 5 pull-ups, 5 push-ups, 15 squats for several rounds, gradually decreased reps to 3 pull-ups, 5 push-ups, 10 squats until time.

Thanks for the constant push Foster & to Mel for hanging in there w me…ripped hands & all!!!!

  13. Shelly says:

30 very modified and varied rounds
Foster, you motivate me like few others.
It was so so so good to be back!

  14. k says:

Wow…what a group of fighters in the evening classes. Big props to Darin and Jonathan for their 30 round achievements. Didn’t get to finish with the 630p but I’m bettin’ 1 or 2 of ya’ll pulled out a perfect score Rx as well.

Today’s WOD was a great test…of your body and mind and spirit…and everyone I watched passed. Great job making adjustments or taking a forced rest as necessary to stay in the game. You are better for it. I also appreciate those of you who took care of your hands and modified when pull-ups got the better of you. There are no bragging rights to be earned for tearing your hands for 22 rounds in a daily WOD.

Shelly Poling…get your ass to the gym more. It was way a wonderful surprise to have you in my class tonight. I know first day back is rough…good. ;)

Tom, Luke, Caitlyn and any other “Chelsea” virgin I missed…really good work. I know this wko was tough.

Score 23 – I have no record of ever doing “Chelsea”. Push-ups just don’t seem to get easier….despite all the bench pressing!

    Sleep well tonight, all!

    Shelly

    last time was 5 – 5 – 10 @ 30 rounds
    This time
    5 – 6 – 11 @ 30 rounds
Had to switch to situps after some weird pain developed just below my right knee. But kept the numbers.

  17. ASH says:

Stopped @ 20 due to lack of time. Not sure I wouldve made it much further than that anyway.

Cannot wait for Back @ The Ranch!
