The older, more seasoned tapestry of CrossFit, has gotten a face-lift over the years. In the past athletes ruthlessly argued that equipment was for “everyone else”, everyone not a CrossFitter that is. At least in this case, time has given way to wisdom and experimentation.
The video above is the first part of a brief explanation about “how”, “why”, and “when” to use certain pieces of equipment. The goal has never been, and will never be, to blindly adhere to policy. The goal is to utilize all the tools that can make us better, be it training templates, food, drugs, equipment.
Don’t be a CrossFit communist. Excluding something, anything really, based on opinion alone rather than fact is the exact kind of studies we fight against everyday. Don’t be like the rest, be better. Test, observe, re-test.
